Street Walkin’ in Annapolis.

Erin.

I have a secret.

No, I’m not a street-walkin’, stick-legged, glowy-eyed hooker, as evidenced by that last photo.

It’s worse.

Shameful.

Here goes.

I don’t always love to carry my DSLR camera everywhere.

It’s bulky.  It’s heavy.  I have to mess with lens switching and cleaning and worrying about breaking something or expensive equipment getting stolen.

So sometimes, sometimes I just use my phone’s camera.

And you know, it’s not so bad.

It’s grainy.  And gritty.  And dark and unfocused.

But there’s something… raw, you know?

Imperfect.

It’s what I used while wandering the streets of Annapolis.

Not hookin’.

I miss that beautiful place, and you’re reminding me why I wanted to take DH there. It may not be quite the same without the USNA June week festivities and as through the eyes of a 16 yr old, but still lovely…and just a whole different type of town than we have here in the west.

The east coast is definitely very different than the west. I can’t decide which I like better… I think, in the end, it just depends on my mood. :)

Believe it or not, I didn’t see any uniformed Navy guys while there. I was seriously disappointed.

Katy, All your photos are beautiful. The shot of the boats in the harbor made me want to reach out and dip my fingers in the water.

It is the talent of the photographer that makes the photo great – not the camera!
